The Wayne County Community Foundation, in partnership with The Cooperage Project and the Newfoundland Area Public Library, is excited to announce the official unveiling of the second location on Wayne County’s new Creative Communities Art Trail!
An opening reception will be held at Carlton Drake Memorial Park, located at 994 Main Street in Newfoundland, PA, from 1:00 - 3:00pm on Sunday, November 10th. Opening remarks from community project members will begin at 1:15, followed by light refreshments. This rain or shine outdoor event is free and open to the public; all are invited to attend.
The Creative Communities Art Trail seeks to connect Wayne County communities from north to south along PA Route 191 with place-based, locally-designed pieces of outdoor public artwork. This event in Newfoundland marks the second of several locations that will be opening over the course of the next few years.
This project was supported in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additional funding was provided by The Wayne County Community Foundation, the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, and generous donations from individuals and businesses.

Public art is a great way to uplift and celebrate all of the communities that make Wayne County such a vibrant, beautiful, and diverse place to be. We hope to see you there!
