formed and held its first event in 2013. This year will mark the fourth
BioBlitz it has organized in the region. The event will take place on June
29th and conclude the following day. Nine teams totalling over 50
scientists and amateur naturalists from throughout the Eastern United States
will collect, identify and catalog every living species visible to the naked
eye over 24 hours on the BioBlitz site. This year’s site will be the Gales
property owned by the Norcross Wildlife Foundation. It is on PA Rt. 191 at
the intersection of PA Rt. 370 in Starlight, PA. It is at the junction of
the East and West branches of the Delaware River.
